car dvd audio player

I'm considering buying a car with a CD player that plays DVD audio but I don't know if that implies MP3 files on CD as well. Anybody know the answer to this question?

The car in question is the Acura TL.

Realize we may need to buy some sort of hardware, but don't want the expense of installing a DVD player w/screen in car. Looking for either a car audio player that can play all formats (including DVD audio tracks) or something that will convert DVD sound tracks to CD format.

if you typed your question on a laptop you already have most of the hardware, next thing to get is a head unit with line in and a cable with two 3.5 mm stereo jacks (one end plugs into the headphone adaptor on the laptop and the other into the head unit) You will have dvd screen with audio running thru the cars audio, buy a 12 / 240 volt inverter as well if you are planning to use the laptop for any lenghth of time

and when i put in a dvd the audio isn't working i think its supposed to run through the cars speakers but im not sure if it has anything to do with my Mercedes Benz Comand APS how can i fix the audio or how can i find out wats wrong

There will proberly be a loose connection at the back.

Take it out and check for any loose connections or take it to your local auto electritian, there expensive but they will find out whats wrong.

It's not wireless so there's no interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. Basically it adds an AUX input to ANY radio. No searching for a clean channel.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch.
