car dvd headrest player

I know they have these non slip surfaces that you can put anywhere on your car. It makes anything stay in place. MIne is on my dash but you can try it behindyour seat.

I had the "Insignia" Car TV/DVD player that strapped to my headrest but it quit working. It was an expensive one and I thought I had a warranty on it but I dont. I cannot afford to buy another one that expensive. Does anyone know where I can get one that STRAPS to the headrest and its reasonable priced? Also, any links would be GREAT!

Thanks! We just bought one and because the strap was missing we were able to get it for about $110 [for dual screens] but our kids are so young they drop it more than they watch it. =]

Tether strap or an adjustable velcro strap.

I have the dual screens in my minivan for my 2 and 5 yr olds, best investment.

well is this just vanity or are you a mother of kids going out on a family vacation?

b/c if its just vanity to make your car look good or if its just for friends than the answer is its a waste of money...you might as well buy a portable dvd player and buy a strap or harness to attach it in between the two seats...dont forget to buy a converter adaptor as it might run out of battery.

you can check autoshops such as Pepboys , ACE, or Autozone....but if they dont have them in these places you can GOOGLE it and find related sites that may sell them...or better yet check any local audio/digital car shops that would be inclined to sell audio appliances and/or automobile entertainment devices.

Where did you buy it? Are you happy with it? Can you give me suggestions as to where to find a good, inexpensive one? Does it keep your kids occupied on long car trips?

Miranda - that's exactly the type I'm looking for, the ones that the DVD goes in the back, so it's not separate.

I don't have one, but my brother in law got his at best buy.

We just shove our portable dvd player in the back pocket of the front seat and it's perfect.

AND YES it's a life saver, and it keeps him totally entertained.

We get a Diego or Backyardigans DVD which have 4 episodes on it and it has saved my sanity on more than one road trip.

I bought a Sony one for our flight to Denver last year, we use it DAILY , it stays charged for hours but it comes with a car cord and a regular cord and it's been on two more flight to Denver and on several road trips and we've never had a problem. The sucker cost us $200 bucks...but it's been worth every penny.
