car dvd system

i have a 2004 dodge durango and it came with a dvd player in it and the car salesman told me that it could play through the car speakers......then somebody told me i have to put it on a radio channel!!! please help

One is that the DVD player has a FM Modultor on it, which is the most likely possiblity, and that you have to find and turn on, and put it on a FM Station usually between 87.9-88.9.
Second is that it wired to an AUX input, but doubt that any stock radio has this feature built in, but you can try to see if you have a CD Changer button- as this is usually for AUX inputs.
A possible option is removing that radio and putting in an aftermarket Kenwood that has a RCA AUX inputs..

We are looking into getting a DVD system in the minivan and I think I have heard recently that you can somehow watch tv in the car. Is there a satellite service or something you can subscribe to?

With a service like mine you can watch live TV shows on computer. Also you can write them to DVD & play it in your car.

Pioneer car in-dash dvd owners can adapt a seperate system to their unit which makes their car appear as a red dot on the screen as they drive. What is the name of the unit?

its either a n1, n2, n3, z1, or d1. there all pioneer navi modles, that do almost the same thing. the n3 had more mapping then the n2, and n1. and they are all a single DIN radio with a flip out 6.5" screen. the z1 and d1 are both double DIN radios. its one of these.
