How do you operate a car dvd player? What station does the radio have to be on, etc.?

When you say "What station" are you using a Fm modulator
Like the one below
http://www.conexx-video.de/SHOP/assets/b ig/fm-mod7.jpg
then it should be in the first stations between 89.5FM to 90.5FM

Just bought a pontiac montanna with after market car dvd player (Blackmore) works fine, but no sound?

wandering if it needs a fm transmitter. audio cords are going to car radio but cannot get sound through it.

I'm wondering if it's like my aunt's cd changer in her van... The sound plays through an FM station... you would have to toggle through every channel to see.
Try this... put on a movie you have seen, (this will help to discover what channel it is on)
Next, take the radio stations all the way down to the lowest channel. turn the radio up and start surfing the channels... listen for people talking or whatever is on the video... I think my Aunt's station was 93 something....
Good luck, Hope this helped.

Car DVD player + usb hard drive?

My in-dash dvd player/ radio/ cd player/ gps has RCA inputs on the rear and a mini usb input on the front. I was wondering if I could use a usb to rca adapter and mate it to my 500gb hard drive, but I don't think they would recognize each other. Are my assumptions correct? Also, is there any way to access the front usb input on the front from the rear?

if you get a hard drive with a single usb plug it will work. but it might be hard to find a external hard drive case that uses 1 usb as power and data out put, most have usb for data out and a power plug for power, you can get one of those but then you have to get a power converter that plugs in to the cig lighter but there $20 from walmart.
if you have just movies and songs on the hard drive it should work, it worked on my deck. the problem i had was that my hard drive had a program on it so all my deck would do was try to read the program.but then i deleted that progarm it worked.
