coby portable dvd player

It is the Coby TF-DVD7050, 7" portable tablet style dvd player. If I put it on pause or prestop for more than a minute, then I won't have enough battery life to watch a whole movie.

just a FYI Coby isn't the best brand. Also, Depending on how long you have had it. Its either came defective or the battery is just bad. Call Coby if they have a number and see what they can do for you.

Can I connect Coby portable DVD player with TV? I know that portable DVD has it's own small screen. I just want to view movie on TV rather than on the small Screen...

connect to the video input (you know the yellow wire) to the tv

I wanna buy a portable DVD f="/Home-Speakers/Speakers-Not-Playing-Sound/">player for our minivan and I have a choice of the brands I mentioned above. I've heard of COBY and Audiovox before but never heard of the last 2. Can anyone recommend the best of these 4 choices? They all cost about the same.

Funny you should ask...I travel for a living and have personally owned one of each...no, seriously. I have had nothing but problems with the GPX and the Mintek, but the Audiovox has always ran flawlessly. COBY...not bad but had a slight problem with it reading some of my kids DVD's. I have no idea of why just my kids DVD's and not mine, but that is my answer. Go with the Audiovox...Half the price of the Sony , Toshiba, and Panasonic ones...and just as good.

the light says its on, but the screen is just black

You can buy a special DVD disc that will clean the read head, but most likely, it's time to go portable DVD player shopping. Sorry.

you should be able to increase the brightness threw the menu. if it came with a remote try accesing the menu or check the phisical unit for a button.
