Car DVD Players Answers
My husband and I are taking our kids to Disney in June, I was wondering we have been window shopping for portable DVD players for the car. Preferably a dual. But for some reason every dual dvd player that we have seen has terrible reviews from other people. Out of chance does anyone have or know of a great dual portable dvd player for the car that you can say works great and really recommend? Thanks in advance.
My wife and I are lalso taking the kids to Disney in June and I have been shopping for a dual dvd system. I know that as a norm, you get what you pay for but there has to be a decently priced sytem that has good ratings. Keep me updated please if make a decision and I will do the same.
Dual
I am going on vacation and would like to purchase a dual portable DVD player to entertain our children during the trip. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It really depends on ur personal likes/dislikes, what features you need, which ones provide good customer support, ease of use, weight, is a travel case included, the age of the children using, easy instruction? Go to a website like Sony ans see if they provide a comparison to other companies

The Philips Portable DVD player is compatible with most DVD and CD discs available in the market. DVD, DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, (S)VCD, and CD - all of them can play on the DVD player
The color LCD display brings images to life, showing off your treasured photos, favorite movies and music with the same 'real life' rich detail and vibrant colors as high quality prints.
It comes with convenient in-car accessories to enhance your movie enjoyment on the road. A car adaptor allows you to power your portable DVD player using the cigarette charger
The DVD-Video player remembers where you have finish viewing a DVD and continue playing from the exact scene where you stopped watching even after a power failure.
Dual screens allow you to display same videos or images from the portable DVD players. Simply plug in and mount the screens on the headrests in your car.
I have a comcast dual tuner DVR, a Vizio HD TV, panasonic DVD/VCR & a Kenwood A/V receiver. How do I hook them all together? Right now they are all separately connected to the TV making it impossible to set the VCR on screen and I can't get the A/V receiver to work with only the TV.
Depends on your input & outputs you have on each component. If your DVR is not HD then hook up the yellow cable to the TV and the red & white to the receiver. If it is HD then use an HDMI cable or component cables. The DVD would be the same.
If you have optical audio out on your TV then use it. Hook up all components to the TV then use an optical cable from the TV to the receiver. Now the TV audio will play on the receiver no matter what you're watching.

The in-car dual player design lets you watch movies individually on each portable DVD player.
Play your movies and music in the car . The Philips PD9016 features two DVD players.
The single cable connection design means there is just one cable needed to connect the two Philips Portable DVD players together.
No additional cables are needed, there is no mess created and installation takes a few seconds.
I'm trying to hook up my playstation to my portable dvd player that has two screens.... I plug my playstation into one of the screens and it works fine but i can't connect the screens together after i plug in my playstation because there is no other red yellow and white holes to plug them into....... Is there a cable I can buy to do this? like a y adapter or something?
U got it....u need a Y adapter to convert the av red and white sound cables to the universal headphone jack.
U need something similar to this but the av has to be female input. because the av from ur ps is male connectors.

edit: If ur portable dvd player has no audio input then u need the adapter to have a female headphone jack so u can connect ur headphones to it.
I have a 2002 ford f 150 and i just bought a dual flip out screne. i know how to install regular decks but all the wiring confuses me and i dont have the money to get it installed. can anyone walk me through the installation process it would be a MAJOR help.
There's really not much difference installing a basic in-dash DVD system versus installing a CD head unit. The DVD player will have two extra wires: a reverse input and a parking brake wire. The reverse input wire doesn't need to be connected to anything at all, unless you have a rear-view camera. The parking brake wire should be a fairly simple connection in a Ford truck: look at the parking brake mechanism under the dash. You should see a single wire, connected to a terminal that's built into the parking brake mechanism. Connect the DVD player's parking brake wire to this wire.
