hi dave you probably have a dirty lens or a lens fault. if your like me and have discs scattered all over the car they collect fine fibres and dust up which adds to the problem of static when the unit sometimes comes to life. You could try buying a lens cleaner with the micro bristles on but i choose personally to take mine out remove the cover and clean with a small cotton bud which i dip in a cap of smirnoff vodka or rum. If that doesnt work the lens may be shot as ive been told they can burn out over years of use. Sorry if this aint no help, but its all i know

In the results of a recent survey by Shoppers Advantage, it was discovered that back to school spending will run the average american family 6.9% more than it did last year. These results were published in a recent press release by Shoppers Advantage. The top three areas for spending increases were electronics, shoes and other footwear, and traditional school supplies.
Electronics shopping saw an increase of 13 percent when compared with the back to school shopping last year. Some of the more popular items these days in the electronics department range from practical to fun. Computer and printers to do school work on are still at the top of the list. With computers becoming more affordable, parents are sometimes purchasing a second one for their household for the children to do their school work on. Printers are also becoming more affordable, and multiple printers are more common than they were in the past, especially if the household has parents that do some of their work from home or more than one school age child.
