headrest dvd

Ok so I bought this headrest dvd player from ebay and the sounds is not working. Everything (video) except the sound is working. Can you please tell me what is wrong with it. And by the way i'm installing it on a Chevy Avalanche 2008.

there should be speaker wires running from the dvd player out of the headrest, youve got to tie those wires into your factory speakers to get sound unless youve got on with built in speakers, but those are rare

Hi,
We are about to embark on a cross-country trip, and just bought the Philips DCP951 for our daughter.
The dvd is part of the screen itself (access from the back). My question is simple: how can I mount it to the headrest? Without it, it is not clear to me how she can watch it... and this dvd has no "base".

go to walmart or hobby store or home depot ....etc..
they sell wide strips of velcro. one will glue itself to back of dvd. other can wrap around headrest for trip and you can easily take off when stoppping to avoid theft

The factory-installed one is a single flip-down in the ceiling. I've seen headrests you can buy with DVD screens in them. 2 screens seem better than 1 but will after-market screens be lower quality?

The MDX Nav system is really nice. The after markets will be cheaper but most of them just don't integrate well with you existing stereo and voice command.

Shell out the extra dough and get the Acura.

If the car is a lease for less than 2 or 3 years than buy the aftermarket so you can take it with you.
