My kenwood car dvd player KVT-719DVD doesn't work?

The monitor messages "disconnected cable found please confirm a connection line" but everything is connected, is the cable or receiver bad, anyone had this issue?
It's connected correctly to the Brain. Thanks though

make sure the cable is connected to the 'monitor' plug on the brain, and not the brown 'navigation' plug.
For some reason, they made the plugs the same.

Does anyone know if the bypass for the DDX514 is the same as the other Kenwood car DVD players?

I've read where the DDX512 (model before the DDX514) allowed DVD's to be played by grounding the parking brake wire. Curious if anyone knows if the DDX514 can be wired the same way...

Kenwood KVT-617DVD in car dvd player, how do you override the e-brake switch???

I just bought a KVT-617DVD in dash dvd player with navigation unit and want to know how to override the ebrake switch so that I can have a movie playing for the passenger while I am driving. Anybody who knows how to do this I will be most grateful, thanks!!

You don't, its against the law. And any one who tells you how to do this will also be responsible for any life you take when you crash your car watching TV. You want a DVD to play when your driving get one that plays in the back seat.

I recently installed this head unit in my ‘04 Grand AM. I’m running it with a pair of Polk DB components, Alpine 6×9 rears, a single Alpine Type S 12″ sub in a sealed box and a Pioneer GM-7100 amp feeding the sub around 350W RMS. This unit was an upgrade from my ‘06 model Pioneer DEH-P5800mp.

First let me say that I (as I imagine most people do) did a LOT of research before choosing this head unit. I encourage anyone interested in an in-car DVD screen to get out to a local retailer to view and test as many options as you can. It’s one thing to look at all the specs and details in print but an entirely different experience once the device is in front of you. All the features in the world don’t mean anything if the controls are counter-intuitive or the LCD is low quality. I’m happy to report that this Kenwood unit met all of my qualifications and expectations both on paper and in reality.
