how can i fix this?
Simply fix the polaroid dvd/hdd recorder has yesdvd onit, but the created dvd will only play with audio on the polaroid by switching it on and off several times
My early-model DVD recorder just died again, so I searched every Wal-Mart in town to find Polaroid#39;s current DVD recorder, since it seemed so ...
Does anyone Know How to fix this problem.
Take the darned thing back. That's what I'd do.

I am having trouble hooking up a dvd recorder/dvr through a dishnetwork satellite receiver. The recorder is connected but it isn't receiving the signal from the satellite for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.
System:
Polaroid DRM-2001G DVD Recorder
Dish 322 receiver
There are a couple of ways you can connect it. From the ANT OUT on the Dish Receiver to the ANT IN on the VCR/DVD and then from the ANT OUT on the VCR/DVD to the television. It may be marked different than ANT OUT or IN but should be similar. When you turn on your VCR/DVD make sure it is also on Channel 3. You should see your satellite pic on the TV now. One of the most common mistakes is that people forget to put the VCR/DVD on channel 3.

I just downloaded the free trail version of AnyDVD by slysoft that is suppose to somehow remove the copy protection that is found on DVD's so you can make backup copies of it. Do I just simply stick the DVD in my DVD drive on my computer and it does all the work or is there something I gotta click to tell the program what to do? I don't see anything to click except "default" , "order" , "ok" , and "cancel" and none of them seems to give me any indication that the copy protection has been removed. When I put the disc in my computer it shows all the details about the disc and shows that it's copy protected and then shows some things that have been "found and removed" so to speak ,but I want to then be able to take the DVD out of my computer and put it in my stand alone external DVD Recorder which is hooked to my TV and copy it. Can this be done or do I have to do everything with the computer? I have a Polaroid DVD recorder with an 80G HDD. Can somebody tell me what I need to do?
This program works in the "background" on your pc. You still need software to copy the dvd. The best software out there that is free is "dvd Shrink". Download this to your pc. Now you can copy movies straight to your computers hard drive and then to disc to watch on any dvd player. Again Any DVD works in the background and basically gets rid of any copy protection that the DVD has and any region code that may be on the disc allowing you to copy movies. You can also use Nero to copy movies if you have ANY DVD running on your PC.
