I have Polaroid DVD/VCR purchased about 2 years ago. Trying to program remote for Cable (Comcast) to accept the commands. No codes listed at Comcast, and could not find any in the manual. Any one have any idea what the code is for the remote to program into other remotes?


you can punch in aux then hold setup until it blinks i believe the next code is 993 or 991 then go aux power aux power until tv turns off

Why you don't want a Polaroid DVD recorder


My early-model DVD recorder just died again, so I searched every Wal-Mart in town to find Polaroid#39;s current DVD recorder, since it seemed so ...

How can I configure my Polaroid DVD player to multi-region? The model is Polaroid DHM-0100?

My dvd player is Region 1 and 4, but I just can't watch my movies...All in region one and four....


1. Open the tray
2. Press SETUP
3. Press 1 3 8 9
4. With the arrows change the region code
5. Press SETUP
6. Close tray

Choosing region 0 will allow you to play discs from all regions!

Dish Network and Polaroid DVD player?

I have a Polaroid DHX1-1000A DVD player and I cannot find a code for my Dish Network to use with it. All I have is simple Dish Network. Does anyone know a code that will work? I believe they are usually just 3 digets.

so I guess can you use ANY portable dvd player as a tv?


Most DVD players have video inputs or a mode that allows you to use the video output as a video input. You may need their special video cable though.

With that, you will need a tuner of some sort to tune TV stations.
In the USA, you'd get a DTA converter box for antenna, or a cable box for cable, or a satellite or IPTV box for those. The box will need an A/V out.

You can't make your DVD player a world region reader. You have to buy a region-free DVD player (which, as far as I know, are hard to find). In your case, you could also buy a region 4 DVD player.
