i'm not really sure what model it is or anything..
so I guess can you use ANY portable dvd player as a tv?
Most DVD players have video inputs or a mode that allows you to use the video output as a video input. You may need their special video cable though.
With that, you will need a tuner of some sort to tune TV stations.
In the USA, you'd get a DTA converter box for antenna, or a cable box for cable, or a satellite or IPTV box for those. The box will need an A/V out.
total damage bad power jack. bad lipo battery#39;s. the cells where already starting to puff up from damage from the bad bms. safer bet to just ...
I buy this DVD Player at USA, and would like to see region 4 movies on it.
You can't make your DVD player a world region reader. You have to buy a region-free DVD player (which, as far as I know, are hard to find). In your case, you could also buy a region 4 DVD player.

Take it into any electronics store like Target, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Jaycar, Dick Smith Electronics, and ask them to sell you a multi-volt powersupply that will suit that unit. They will need to check the back of the portable dvd player to find out what voltage it needs.

Hi
I have a portable DVD player but misplaced the ac/dc adapter that goes with it. It requires a 9.5 V adapter. Do I have to buy a Polaroid brand adapter or can i buy a universal adapter to replace the one I misplaced?
Veronica, in almost every case, yes, you can use a universal adapter.
I have had voltmeters on many adapters, and the actual voltage supplied varies widely. In almost every case, the actual supply voltage is higher than the battery voltage of the device in question.
When the milli-amp output of the universal charger is lower than the original charger, it simply takes longer to charge it.
I have no doubt that you can use the 9 volt setting of a universal charger, or perhaps the next highest setting, and be able to charge and use your device.
Most devices have the positive connection in the center of the connection, and most universal chargers can change it from center to outer.
Simply find the right polarity for the center pin, and set the charger accordingly.
I have a pink Polaroid DVD player and I got with it audio/video cord jack that hooked up to the dvd player, but when i plug anything in, it dosn't work! IDK what to do!

If your trying to hook it up to a TV, put tv into game mode or different setting. You could also try running it through a vcr, if you still have problems it might be defective.
Check Battery!!!
