the dvd player should have its own battery. each full charge will last typically 2 hours or so. for chargers you can find online. ionhub is a good brand.
Geeks Product Review of www.geeks.com 8.5-inch Philips DCP851 Widescreen Portable DVD Player/Digital Photo Frame General Features: Color: Black ...
I tried looking up the the model # and a couple of sites that would sell it but cant find any. Also the player is like 2 years old so hard to find anything about it.
What is the question here? Are you looking to buy a replacement power cable? One of the "multi use" ones would work fine, set it for 9 volts. The other important part is the current rating (amps or mA). What does the DVD player say it needs? Make sure the new power cord can supply at least that much.
Voltage: try 9 first, if not work then try 10 or 11 or 12. No higher than 12.
Current: the same number or higher than listed on the player.

I have an old Panasonic portable DVD player, but I can't find the charger. Can I safely use a different AC adaptor, with different specs, to either run the player, or charge the battery? The player is a Panasonic DVD-LV75. The proper adaptor for it is 9V and 2A. The battery is a Panasonic CGP-H501 (7.2V 6000mAh Li-ion).
Can I use a different Voltage or Amperage adaptor to charge the battery? If so, what would work?
I would not recommend using another charger to charge your player UNLESS it's the same EXACT voltage/watts/amps. You can burn the DVD player up and possibly cause a fire. You can just get a new charger I believe from needbattery.com

I have a Tru tech Portable DVD player and the battery is starting to wear out ,Cant play more than a hour.I need to get a replacemrnt. Is there a website that I can go to do buy this replacement battery
I don't know where to find a replacement battery for that portable DVD player. I even tried to find it on google and no luck. If your portable DVD player is under a year old, you might be covered for warranty. If it's older than that and you don't have a warranty extension, then you should just look for a new portable DVD player. They are under $100 now. http://www.walmart.com/search/browse-ng. do?ic=24_0&ref=125875.129742&fro mPageCatId=62055&catNavId=62055
I have this Portable DVD Player:

It says it has a battery life of up to 3 hours. But my battery only lasts about 30 minutes. As soon as I unplug it, it starts to lose power. It's not old (I got it in September 2006), and I charge it whenever I'm not using it. I didn't do anything to make it do this, it was like that out of the box. I wanted it to use for long road trips, and it plugs into the car, but it's so frustrating that it ALWAYS has to be plugged in! It's a PORTABLE dvd player, so it shouldn't need a cord! What am I doing wrong, and how can I solve this problem? HELP!!!
I clicked on the website, but it only had a bunch of their products. Theres nothing I can tell you that you already don't know, Have you charge the battery for the required amount of time, sometimes they can take many hours since they are overused. If you already tried that, just read your manuel and try to get some help through the customer support, and try to get them to send you a battery replacement for free.
