portable dvd recorder

I save shows I want to watch later , but, when my box (Tivo-like from Comcast cable) is full I have to delete them in order to save more shows. Is there a way I can either transfer those shows to a DVD recorder, even VHS would do, or record them directly onto DVD redcorder? I do not want to lose the Tivo abilities to hold shows or make them go back.

If your Comcast box has a composite or S output, connect that to the like input of a VCR or DVDR, start playback on the Comcast box, start record on the VCR or DVDR, and you're all set. You also have to bring the audio across with a standard dual red/white RCA cable.

wanted the disney one but cant get it in the uk any help

Why would you want one specifically for a 3 year old.

I would assume an adult, or older child, would be putting the DVDs in, setting it up etc

Just get the one that suits yyour needs best and let the 3 yr old use it.

And do you really mean DVD recorder or just a player

I have a panasonic DVD recorder DMR EZ27(the portable one - hitachi PDV313). So i downloaded a film and burned it using AVI DVD Copy 1.4 and i noticed it works on my hddvd player but not in my portable one but i need it for a trip im going on so is there any way to make it work

I can watch the recorded program on the DVD in the DVD recorder itself, but for example, the DVD will not play in my portable DVD player or Xbox or my other regular DVD player? Any ideas on why?

You might also want to make sure that you finalize the DVD. You generally have the option somewhere in the DVD recorder's menu. If the disc is not finalized, it will play on the recorder, but not on any other DVD player. Once you finalize the disc, however, you can no longer write to it.

I got a portable hard disk drive and I wanted to make a big movie library so you won't need to look for the CDs, what DVD player/recorder would you recommend me, that CAN play DIVX from the USB drive.

Did you know that most of the DVD players that got a 'USB' entrance on the front panel, that's for playing MUSIC and not MOVIES.
