I am looking for a small screen (smaller than a notebook), to use to view things from a SD chip or other external drives. Including pages of information especially text or possibly pictures. I want it to be portable so i can read a paper or book without carrying them with me, kind of like the new Sony Reader but way cheaper. It should also include a battery, and clickers or something to change the views from page to page. If you could find anything even close it would be soooooo helpful.
How about upgrading your phone to a PDA? That would do what what you want...

i need to know how to get the power to the portable screen
I have the zenith 5' model
if the TV in question has your standard AV connectors, then just plug it in, and purchase a device for your lighter jack in your car that converts it to a standard wall outlet. If the TV has a cable-type connector, and no standard AV connectors, then you need to purchase an RF Switch and RF Modulator that is compatible with the PS2 (if they make it).
Im looking for a screen for my xbox 360 that I can use in the car while i travel. I only have one plug in for the xbox so i need something that either can be charged or connnects to the xbox and uses its power. I would like atleast a 10'' screen as well.
I would like something under $200 dollars as well
Don't do it. You'll scratch up your game discs and ruin them. When the DVD is spinning at full speed it is very sensitive to vibration. One big pothole and you are out $60. Get a PSP or game boy or something.

I am after purchasing a good quality projector and portable screen. Screen size will be about 8ft
What shoudl I look for in a reasonable quality projector> Makes, Types etc. It will be mostly for Video.
There are a lot of good projectors out there. Contrast ratio, lumens, the connections you may want are the first thing. The main thing I would watch is the warranty of the unit and the lamp life. Most projector lamps last about 2000 to 3000 hours and only have a 1 year warranty. Lamp replacement could cost between 200 and 500 dollars. Mitsubishi makes a projector that has good quality, 3 year warranty, and up to 5000 hours in economy mode for the lamp. Dalite or Draper make quality screens.......some generic brands don't reproduce the images real well.
I am currently using an IBM T60 DuoCore Centrino with 2gb of RAM with an external 17" monitor in Windows XP extended mode. Can I use the LCD off an old laptop instead? It would be great if I could strip out an old ThinkPad to haul around with me. What components would I need to leave in (or obtain) to power up the old LCD and put a VGA input into it?
Unless you know exactly what you're doing, or know a really good tech, I wouldn't attempt such a thing. However, I do know that there is some software out there that allows you to turn your laptop into a monitor. Haven't used it myself and don't know if it'll work with an older laptop, but that might be the better route.
