Just bought a toshiba sd-p1850sn portable dvd player, the guy at Best Buy told us we would be able to hook up the playstation 2 to the dvd player and play games. We cannot figure out how and the instructions don't help. Does anyone have any suggestions?


You do know that those idiots at Best Buy don't know what they're talking about, right? These people will say just about anything to sell something.

The only way that I can think of where you can connect the PS2 to a portable DVD f="/Home-Speakers/Speakers-Not-Playing-Sound/">player is if the portable DVD player has the red, yellow, white INPUT plugs, not output.

No, Unless you bought a Dvd player that plays all Dvd regions. The USA is region 1 and South Africa is region 2. USA dvd players can only play region 0 or 1 Dvd's

I'm not sure if a portable DVd player can support a Wii, but you can try this:

Connect the red, white, and yellow cables that come with the Wii in to the red, white, and yellow jacks on the DVD player.

If your DVD player doesn't have three jacks of those colors (they might not be colored though, but if there are three jacks lined up together try those), then you can't play your Wii on it because those three cables transfer the video and sound from the Wii to the screen.

I bought a Portable DVD Player SD-P1900SN in June 2007 from the U.S. It was working fine. Suddenly it is not playing. It is saying 'No Valid Disc' every time a DVD or CD is inserted. Can I get it repaired in Kolkata? Can I get similar lens available in Kolkata, if needed?
