venturer dvd player

Hi I have a venturer portable dvd player and I hooked up the yellow and white cord thing into the player and my tv. It doesn't show the DVD on it. It just shows the regular channel when I turn the DVD player on. Is there a specific channel or mode my tv needs to be in to view the dvd? The DVD player works fine by itself.

The video cable should be color coded yellow. Make sure that the yellow jack on the player is connected to the yellow jack on the TV.

Make sure the TV is set to the correct (composite?) input.

This is a review on a portable DVD player i got on Christmas 2006

I have a DVD which is divided into 5 segments. My Venturer personal DVD player only has the following buttons: Vol, Next, Prev, Stop, Pause, Play. I've tried pressing "Next" to navigatet the menu, but it doesn't work. Am I missing anything obvious here?

is a venturer dvd player better than a diamond vision one?

Both made in China and marketed here by companies no one has ever heard of. I'd guess they are pretty equal. If you are looking for better:

I'm trying to hook up my playstation to my portable dvd player that has two screens.... I plug my playstation into one of the screens and it works fine but i can't connect the screens together after i plug in my playstation because there is no other red yellow and white holes to plug them into....... Is there a cable I can buy to do this? like a y adapter or something?

U got it....u need a Y adapter to convert the av red and white sound cables to the universal headphone jack.
U need something similar to this but the av has to be female input. because the av from ur ps is male connectors.

edit: If ur portable dvd player has no audio input then u need the adapter to have a female headphone jack so u can connect ur headphones to it.

And the wires are in right red to red yellow to yellow and white to white they are also in the playsation 2 correctly.

every wire has a color code, for example in a playstation there are 3 different wires. Those are, yellow for left audio, red for right audio, and white for video. There should be also a colored code on the dvd player, where there is yellow, white, and red. Make sure you put right colored wire in the right colored plug (like white is to white, yellow is to yellow, and red is to red). Also make sure that they are plug in properly, cause if they are loose it won't work. If still doesn't work, go to where you bought it and tell them what the problem is.

note*
not sure if yellow and red is audio, and if white is video but if you just follow the color code and plug it in properly, you should be good.
