I just recently bought a 2005 Chev Equinox and it came with a aftermarket dvd player in it. It is an Audiovox system. The system has a screen mounted on the ceiling of the vehicle with controls also to listen to the radio station in the back. The dvd player itself is mounted on the floor on the passenger side with a AC adapter to plug in a playstation or something. The dvd player is a "moviestogo" dvd player. I have wireless infared headphones (2 of them) that are named brand audiovox and a remote controller for the dvd player. I finally figured out the sound to play through the car speakers, you have to tune it to a specific radio station and it plays.. but the headphones do not have sound. They are on, the red light is on but no sound. And I also cant hear the radio for the back. If you know how to work this, please answer away!!
plug the back adaptor in

I bought a used car from a dealer today and the car is great! However, the person that owned it before put in two TVs and a DVD player. I was more focused on the vehicle itself and not the TVs. (I was driving and they were in the back anyway). Well, the TVs do not work. The dvd player does and the wireless headphones do as there is sound. One of the screens does work but its very staticy and mostly like a blue screen. The other screen does not work at all. So, what could be wrong with the TVs and is the dealer obligated to fix it (they are aftermarket) or is my loss for overlooking this detail?
Thanks
Used cars are usually "as is" unless it relates to a major mechanical breakdown within in first 7 to 30 days (depending on your state).
If it is "aftermarket" you should take it to a car electronics place and pay to have it looked at since there is no way to know what the previous owner did and you don't want to get caught up in pulling off interior panels and testing lines.

Hello I recently got a bulk of Lincoln Navigator/F150/F250 standard wireless headphones. The headphones are ID:3L1T-19C013-AA. Is there any way i can get a transmitter for something like an mp3 player or home stereo? Originally these headphones are for in car use with a DVD player... Anyone got any ideas?

I recently purchased a laptop and want to use it to play dvds in my car for my kids (save on buying portable dvd player). I've decided the easiest way to play the sound through my car stereo is with a wireless fm transmitter. My question/dilemma is that I see them everywhere stating that they are for ipods & cd players.. but will the headphone jack work for a laptop? Will it be the same size?
As long as it has a 3.5 mm jack attached to it it should be fine. Most labeled for the specifically for the ipod will not work.
The model below I know for sure will work ( I have used it in this application before). Very good at noise rejection and a powerful transmitter, from one of my trusted companies.

Are the headphones infrared or RF? Does it say? Infrared uses emitters either built-in to the overhead unit or a separate pod that would most likely be of the ceiling. RF (Radio Frequency) uses a transmitter and broadcasts the signal to the headphones. Some headphones are just FM radios so you must tune them in. The transmitter could be beneath a set or the dash.
Not quite sure what you mean by "radio for the back".
