1 inch speakers

I have a 2001 Saturn SL2, a stock cd player which will soon be replaced, no subs or amp. Im looking to replace the 6 1/2 inch speakers in the rear deck. I want to find a pair of speakers that has the best bass and overall performance with good crankability. Links to speakers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

also i highly recomend buying an amp for these speakers. you wont get there full potential if you dont.

I recently ordered 6.5 inch speakers for my mirage. Although i havent received them yet, it turns out that the stock speaker size for the mirage is only 5 1/4 i think. Will i still be able to install the 6.5's without spending too much? Thanks!

I'm looking to replace the stock speakers in my Wrangler soundbar (5 1/4"), and I want the cheapest bang for the buck (I want longevity, too, not cones that'll last a week under high stress). I'm into a wide range of music, but all folk/alt and some Tool-like rock. I want the speakers to handle bass, but I don't want a woofer to shake things up, so I'm just going with the 5 1/4" replacements for now. Any recommendations? Thanks.

yea try the JBL power series speakers they have an amazing mid bass for a 5 1/4 are clear and arent too expensive. they will last a long time too but you will need to amplify them as with any speaker you want good mid bass from. youll definately be happy. good luck
