12 inch car speakers

right now in my car i have 2 12 inch memphis speakers which are connected to a 1200 watt xploid amplifier and i have two tweeters connected to the stereo which is like 200 watts but the speakers bass overpowers the actual music and most of the sound is in the trunk what do you recomend i buy so that it sounds better im thinking about getting some speakers for only music and putting them in the front of the car so that the sound evens out

to make your system a little more even add alpine type x coaxial to doors and rear dash.i would also up grade my amplifier from a Sony to almost any other brand. best bet hifonics. also a new head unit from alpine will help tremendously.

2 12 inch solo baric kickers

Currently I do not have an amplifier. I have a 1996 Eagle Talon ESI. I was wondering if anyone knew what type of amplifier to get or how to wire it up properly. Can anyone give us a diagram or direct us to a website that would be helpful? Thanks!

Would like to change a 10 inch also a 12 inch speaker can you tell me the best speaker for the price and will car speakers work.

It can work but most car speakers are 4 ohms and home amps work best with 8 ohm speakers. There is alot more to it though. Every speaker works best with a certain amplification, enclosure air space, crossover etc... To just buy a speaker and put it in because it fits doesn't address the speakers other needs. I wouldn't do it. Even if it sounds ok, improper resistance may put additional strain on your amp and send it or your speaker to an early grave.

Hello. Depending on how much experience you have, will depend on whether your enclosure will be better than that of a car audio store. Most shops have experienced installers that have years of knowledge and experience. I have 18 years worth. I cant try to deter you from doing it yourself, cause I wouldnt be where I am now if I didnt do the same thing. Just remember that you are starting on the ground floor and comparing the sound of an enclosure to people with probably much experience. If you are dedicated that you want to build it yourself, that is good. The thing is that you need to take into concept what type of music you will be listening to the most, what type of vehicle you are installing it in, what type of subwoofer do you have, and how much power are you going to use. There are alot of factors to consider before starting. Dont just throw 6 sides together and call it a box. For speaker characteristics and air space calculations you can go to the12volt.com and get alot of professional information there. If you went to a shop and asked a price and you thought it was high and that wood doesnt cost that much, just remember that you are purchasing the knowledge that the installer has to gurantee your enclosure is built to top performance.
