12 inch woofer speakers

12-Inch woofers designed for air suspension speakers like the ancient AR7 (closed enclosure) are rare. I have seen, but lost one e-biz that sells them for about $170 each. Do you know which one and have a name or link?

I'm getting a laptop this Saturday and I don't want to mess it up by accidently placing it too close to my sterio system. How far should I keep it away from the speakers?

The electromagnetic aspects are short range, but the bigger concerns are the acoustic ones.
Low frequency harmonics can disrupt the read/write 'head' within the hard drive, causing misread files, or worse: write errors.
This condition is somewhat reduced with SSD (solid state drives), but you'll probably have a traditional spinning drive.
Make sure to have a vibration dampening pad under the lapper if you play loud music, no matter how far away, but in general, 3 feet would be a safe starting point...unless you really crank out Van Halen (or other) base heavy jams.

I'm looking to upgrade my stereo system with a new pair of 3-way speakers, everything I see seems to use a dual woofer configuration. My current speakers use a single 12 inch woofer with two horns, one for the midrange, and one for the high end. my main concern is not going "Backwards" in relationship to what I already have, "Rock" solid bass.

they are using 2 smaller speakers vs one larger because they are faster , quicker (sound - cleaner) more acurate .

because im getting two 12 inch woofer speakers put in my Chevy Malibu and im wondering does any body have speakers in there trunk and does it kill your batterie or mess up your car.

NO I HAVE THE SAME CAR WITH A 900WATT KENWOOD AND A KICKER L5 IT HAS WORKED FINE FOR TWO YEARS

Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 1.485 cu/ft to 1.815 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Pioneer is 1.65 cu/ft, so this is the enclosure recommended by Crutchfield. One 3" diameter x 6" long port should be used with a 1.65 cu/ft enclosure.

Single Reflex Bandpass Volume: The bandpass box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 1.62 cu/ft to 1.98 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Pioneer is 1.8 cu/ft, so this is the enclosure recommended by Crutchfield.
