2 inch speakers

I have a 2001 Saturn SL2, a stock cd player which will soon be replaced, no subs or amp. Im looking to replace the 6 1/2 inch speakers in the rear deck. I want to find a pair of speakers that has the best bass and overall performance with good crankability. Links to speakers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

also i highly recomend buying an amp for these speakers. you wont get there full potential if you dont.

I recently ordered 6.5 inch speakers for my mirage. Although i havent received them yet, it turns out that the stock speaker size for the mirage is only 5 1/4 i think. Will i still be able to install the 6.5's without spending too much? Thanks!

Its a good setup. Just get 3 way 6.5s and 6x9s that way you dont have to get tweeters.

I have two 15 inch punch subwoofers. (Not rockford fostgate) I got them for free and I don't need to absolutly bump them at max, I just want them to sound great. I also have a 600 watt xplod amp just sitting around. I was wondering if this will supply enough power to the subs, and 2 speakers?

Not if you want good quality bumping.

My speakers are 12 in pioneer speakers and i have a 1000 watt sony xplod amp pushing them i need to know why they keep cutting in and out also i havent purchased a capacitor yet if that might have something to do with it

you need to be more detailed because it could be a number of things, the amp could be overpowering the speakers and they are cutting out (do you smell anything burning), the amp may be cutting out to protect it from over heating, your subs may need more watts and the amp is protecting them from a distorted signal that could destroy the subs, you may have your bass and/or gain settings incorrect
if you name the sub and amp models you can pinpoint the problem
