20 inch speakers

im buying a 20 inch imac and was just curious to the fact that if it had built in speakers the apple web site does not specify about it and does not say anything

yes, it does. mine does anyway, and i didn't have to ask for them when i ordered it, lol.

click on "compare" on the right side about halfway down, then click on "complete specs" (on the left above the computers all lined up) then look down the list to the "audio" part & you'll see it.

First of all you should buy a DVI to HDMI cable to connect the monitor to your PS3.

The DVI end on your monitor and the HDMI end on your Ps3.

DVI doesn't carry sounds you know so you you have to run your sounds seperately.

really dont want to spend more than $300 if i dont have to. any recommendations? should i look for one with wide screen? with speakers included or do the built in speakers usually suck? is the resoultion on a 20 inch really that much better than on a 19? (1280x1060 versus 1680 x 1050) please give model number if you have a specific recommendation

Get widescreen, separate speakers, look for 1680x1050 or higher, also if you can get a nice stand the tilts, swivels, and is height-adjustable.

in a speaker store they will have 2 inch - 20 inch speakers and other people brag how big there speaker is. i got a used subwoofer off my friend and i don't know the official way to determine how many inches it is. i don't know if you are suppose to go from side to side or from one side of the cone to the other.

please answer if you know no guessing. my sub is 12.5 inches from side to side and 10 inches from one side of the cone to the other.

that sub is 10".

you just need to measure the cone area and disregard the frame..

subwoofers are measured by its cone diameter. not as a whole speaker.

so even if it has a 5" thick frame around it, it would not be a 20" speaker.

always notice that on the back of the speaker, the basket frame is parallel on the part where the cone /rubber of the speaker is.

I'd keep looking. 2.2 Gigs is on the lower end these days, esp. since it's a duel core. Also I note that the bus is only 800...wow, sloooooooowwwwwwww.......
and only 3 GB mem, expandable to only 4? Nuts. Vista is supposed to consume 2 I think.
