4 inch speakers

On ebay i found nice speakers for cheap. I was wondering if anyone knows the size of the front speakers? They are 4 inch speakers and I wanna know is it 4 or 6 inch speakers. Please help me. Thank you.

You can also get ready made brackets that will fit you car and the speakers at places like Installer.com Myinstall.com or even a local install shop will sell them to you sometimes...

My 87 supra , new 4inch speakers fronts

My 4 inch sony xplod speakers in the door have a peak power of 130w and continious power of 30w. My head unit puts out 50w. My back speakers can handle a continious power of 110w. Should I just get a 2 channel amp for the back speakers?

Yeah sure why not. Unless they're a decent brand, I don't think you'll notice much difference, but if you've got the money to spend, then you may as well.
You could look at upgrading the front 4 inches to something bigger, 6", 6.5" maybe. Make a hole in your door and mount them up and everything. Then you can buy yourself a decent amp to run both your fronts and rears and you'll have some nice tunes flowing through your car.

I'm looking to replace the stock speakers in my Wrangler soundbar (5 1/4"), and I want the cheapest bang for the buck (I want longevity, too, not cones that'll last a week under high stress). I'm into a wide range of music, but all folk/alt and some Tool-like rock. I want the speakers to handle bass, but I don't want a woofer to shake things up, so I'm just going with the 5 1/4" replacements for now. Any recommendations? Thanks.

yea try the JBL power series speakers they have an amazing mid bass for a 5 1/4 are clear and arent too expensive. they will last a long time too but you will need to amplify them as with any speaker you want good mid bass from. youll definately be happy. good luck

I am looking for speakers for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I see that 6 1/2 inch subwoofers are avalible, and assume they can fit in my stock 6 3/4 inch speaker hole. I don't want a box in the back of my Jeep. I want the bass but need the space if that makes sense. Thanks for your response!

without some type of enclosure it won't matter what title they put on it,(woofer,subwoofer,midwoofer)
try some good coaxils like MB quart or polk audio 2 ways
or a good componet set,and add a subwoofer in the rear for the low freq.

Id like to upgrade my 4 inch in dash speakers on my 93 toyota pickup. is ther an adapter to fit biger speaker in dash? if so what is the website? Thank you so very much

why don't you see if you can find some aftermarket 4inch speakers.
i've got some 4 inch splits in the dash of my car and they go pretty swell. but they don't handle bundles of bass, but eh, that's what subwoofers are for.
