Also, for around the same price, would you recommend other speakers that are better?
All the numbers for the Pioneer pair seem better. The RMS is the same. Frequency response wider range.
From what I've heard Alpine is a very good brand. I just want to know which one is better and if I will hear a major difference between them.
Also I've heard 2 ways are usually better than 3-way because they produce more low bass?
If so I would go with the Alpine, but the Pioneer frequency response is lower does that mean it produces lower bass?
id get the pioneers. ive had bad luck with alpine. their not a horrible company at all but. overpriced and underbuilt. to me anyway. those pioneers are pretty nice
Troubleshooting Car Audio Amplifier is easily done by hooking up the car speaker directly at the back of the amplifier wires. If the car speaker ...
I am thinking of buying these 6x9's to run off my cd player in my car (not connected to an amp at this stage)... i'd put them on/in my cars back panel. cost=$30 +$15-20 postage (AU dollar)

worth it or should i look elsewhere (maybe sony xplod for a little more money). ta.
any speakers are going to be better than the factory ones. so sure go for it... otherwise look on ebay for alpines, lightning audio, or infinity. they make really nice speakers. (i think alpines the best. but maybe you will think panasonic is the best. its mainly just opinion with speakers)

Its a old car, so it has a few wires. But i dont know how to really hook it up.
the speakers do not hook up to the battery, in a conventional system they hook up to the radio/stereo. if you have a more elaborate system they hook up to the amplifier. be certain what you are doing with this,or have someone familiar do it, it's a simple operation, but hooking wires up wrong can fry your electrical system, and even cause fire.
racer 123 is.....unbelievable, don't even try to follow that stuff, it has absolutely nothing to do with your question.

if so how do i do it?
the speakers have a built in amp though
Yes but you would have to plug them into the headphone socket as that will be the only unamplified feed.
I am installing 2 12" subs at 1000 rms each, an amp that puts out 1500rms, a pair of speakers that are rated at 60 rms and another pair of speakers rated at 65 rms.
Help is much appreciated.
I have an 06 Honda Civic, if that changes much.
You should be okay depending on your alternator output, I had about the same with a 90 amp alternator and I was fine. But I wouldn't get a second battery, I would just get a 1F capacitor and that should keep all the juice you need.
