I'm planning on buying a amp to put with my 6X9 Alpine speakers "50-75rms" and 6 3X4 Alpine SPS 600C Component speakers "80rms" Just any opinions on what will work well with these speakers to put out good loud sounds and good bass.
get one that is rated for the wats the speaker puts out to much amp power you will burn them up not enough it wont sound so good so get a amp that has just the right power for them
installing back speakers. A typical day at work. Carstereowarehouse.biz for coupons. check us out.
just trying to learn about speakers cause im planning on getting some for my jeep grand cherokee. not planning on putting in a sub and trying to go without an amp. any other info you can give me on speakers would be great.
Typically even an inexpensive after-market speaker will be much better than a factory speaker, whether it's the base aftermarket system or a premium upgrade package. You have to understand that a "premium" OEM system doesn't typically use higher-quality speakers. It uses separate amplifiers with built-in equalization and crossovers, and adds additional speakers instead of just the standard four. The speakers themselves are usually just a lightweight, paper cone design.
It's usually not hard to put together an after-market car audio package that will outperform a "premium" OEM system.

What kind is it it or have it.
ocasionally the newer speakers have a externatl crossover, that can be located remotely from the speaker. The typical pair of wires goes to the crossover, then the crossover sends the highs and lows seperately through two pairs of wires. this may be the case with yours. i have a pair of infinaties the same way. to check it, unplug one wire, if the speaker still works but looses the highs or the lows, that would indicate this is the case.

I blew a couple of my speakers and need to get them replaced. What would be the best kinds for extremely high-volume clarity? I was thinking about getting a more powerful amp while im at it and will eventually get subs. But for now i need speakers that can handle wattage, be loud, and still sound good. What would you suggest? Why? And how does bose compare to the other brands?
Sure, alpine makes great audio products, as do alot of manufacturers. Its more about coaxials vs. components. Your gonna spend about twice as much for components, and they will take a little more effort to install, but its worth it. Some above posters mentioned the difference between the two, and also pointed out some other well known brands. One bit of advice I would like to say is, BOX YOUR SPEAKERS! This will insure the best clarity, power handiling, and longevity. One of my pet peeves is people spending hundreds of dollars on nice speakers, and then slapping them in their door panels with all kinds of air gaps and rattles present. This will make the best speakers sound like garbage, and will hinder their power handiling. I don't know alot about bose, but a conventional speaker is a conventional speaker.
