its one jl 12inch(12W12-4) with a boss audio 1100watt amp and the door speakers r all 5 1/4 in kenwood(KFC-1393PS) and the headunit is a Kenwood ...

I have a JENSEN 300 WATT 2/1 Amplifier.....And I got it from my brother a WHILE ago for free. It sucks....right?

I have a very nice CD deck, a 450 dollar JVC one to be exact. And first of all, the deck isnt even picking up that I have subs....everything is plugged in right. Is it because the AMP is so old????

I need a new amp. How many watts should I get to power these 2 subs to their full potential. I havent heard them hit as hard as they should, right? Or are they just not that good of subs? Im going to get a new amp tonight...please help guys. I have very nice speakers as well. ! THANKS!

kicker comps are 150 watt rms each. if you have 2 then get a kicker zx300.1 or 400.1 amp

I'm looking to upgrade my stereo system with a new pair of 3-way speakers, everything I see seems to use a dual woofer configuration. My current speakers use a single 12 inch woofer with two horns, one for the midrange, and one for the high end. my main concern is not going "Backwards" in relationship to what I already have, "Rock" solid bass.

they are using 2 smaller speakers vs one larger because they are faster , quicker (sound - cleaner) more acurate .

i have a carpet sealed box that keeps each speaker separate with a piece of wood down the center to make the box into two sections.The box is bolted to the car from the inside.It hold 2 12inch mtx audio thunder 4500.The box has no dampening in it guess i need to do that.Does it make a big difference or not, if so best way and product to use?.I read to use pollyfil?I have an extreme 500 watt amp wired to them.Speakers are 225-450 peak each.I seen a box a little bigger(longer) that holds four.I've wanted to upgrade for a while.If I get the box and add two more mtx thunder can I use the same amp and series wire them all.Do I have to buy second amp?Would adding two more mtx add enough bass worth it or just a waste time?Should I just change out the two 12 inch subs instead.If i keep the same box any ideas on the replacement speakers and amp if one is needed.Not looking to enter any competition's or shows.It provides decent bass.Just getting a little greedy

if u want to keep the mtx and get to more it wud be better if u got a nother amp.. and if u dnt have a cap id look into getting one (rule of thumb, 1 farad to every 500 watts) and yes polyfil is a good idea it makes it sound much. if u have the room id go with a vented box makes it sound little bit louder, but if u want to change systems id go with memphis mojos there 2000 watts a piece and bridge them 1 ohm to a 1000 wat power reference memphis amp and u will pound.. trust me i kno i have to of them bridged to 2 1000 watt power reference amps and i wudent change for nuthing..

i have a 12 inch JL audio 1200 watt sub and around the edges it has started coming apart from the speaker i need help on how to repair it please.

It depends on where the hole is located. If it is the surround, you can buy repair kits. Surround repair kits require a bit of care to install. You need to remove the old surround very carefully and properly fit the new surround. This requires a sharp razor and hand skill. Making sure it is centered and glued consistently can take a bit of work. Depending on the type of surround on the speaker now, you may not be able to match the exact same suspension requirements with a repair kit.

If the cone itself has a hole, that is not so good. Repairing a hole in the cone is not something I've seen done. A hole in the cone compromises the structural integrity of the driver and you would be better off leaving the hole or buying a new speaker. I suspect the cone would begin to fail after serious usage if you had a good size hole in it.
