I have two house speakers and I was wondering if they would work as car stereo speakers if so what would be the best way to go about doing this like making a box or something
most home speakers are 8 ohm which on a 4 ohm amp would get little power, also speakers for the home are designed for a large are vs. a small area for a car.
it will work but putting too much effort into this project is not worth it.

I drive a '91 Plymouth Acclaim and the stock stereo SUCKS, so I want to put the speakers that are hooked into my home stereo, into my car. I know how and all of that, i'm just wondering what will happen, ie: will it put the alternator under serious stress, will my car stereo explode, etc..
Yeah, your stereo will explode and kill you while you're driving to church.

I turn my turn signals on and the clicking noise comes from my speakers and my dash board too. It's very annoying and kind of embarassing when people are in my car. I recently installed subwoofers and an amp in my trunk. Could the wires be crossed or something?
Recheck your wiring.
Bought a new truck without a stereo, but it has all the wires in place to connect the stereo and speakers. I have and ipod and thought there must be a way to make this work. Help
I doubt the iPod has enough power output to drive speakers on its own. For all practical purposes, you will need to at least install some kind of amplifier to take the iPod output and boost it up to enough power to drive the speakers. And, if you're going to do that, you might as well install a stereo.
