custom car speakers

Has anyone heard of this?

A friend of mine attempted to jump start another friend's car, but was worried about damaging the speakers. He did it anyway, and, as predicted, "blew a hole" in one.

Why does this happen? And how can one prevent this from happening?

never heard of this before, but should be prevented by turning off the stereo / detaching its face plate and turning off any amplifier.

imo, current will not flow through them, there for not damaging the equipment.

Recently at Sound FX an installation was completed on a Chevy Trailblazer where 3 Kicker L7 15quot; Subs, 3 Kicker 1500.1 Amps, 1 Kicker 350.4 ...

I recently purchased a set of 5.25" pioneer speakers for the soundbar in my Jeep. Unfortunately, they did not include grill covers. I want to know if there if there are cool aftermarket grill's i can get for a custom look?

Ebay is your best bet for finding grills be it stock,aftermarket and custom.

BestBuy or CircuitCity is usually where people go.

It's better to support the little guys, so go to a shop in your area that does nothing but automotive accessory installations. Car audio shops are your best bet

You can spend $1000 for good equipment. Additional $500 for a good install job.

how do u put custom subwoofer/speaker in ur car?

what do u mean like u wont a better one n ur car better then ur stock stuff i can help u ask me a better ? then that more details like the size and the power u wont as n watts most cars have about 100 watts and my bfs civic we have a 2000 watt speaker and amp. let me know what u wont ill help u along the way

i need someone to create a custom dashboard and custom sub/speaker box for boot but can't find anyone.
plus body shop company that do fitting and respray cheap.

any place but a dealer........open the phone book and throw a dart.........they all think there custom shops..........you still have to check them out................cheap an custom dont work in the same sentance.................
