full range speakers

my full range speakers have a silk tweeter should a tweeter i buy be of same material so it sound great?

Mostly depends on your preference in sound. A silk dome will give you a soft sound while a titanium tweeter will give you a more tingy sound and will also allow higher frequencies most of which arent audible.

I want to upgrade the speakers in my 94 accord. I think it takes 6" full range in the front and back. What are the value brands (best cost to quality ratio) out there for 6"?

Sony Xplod. No question the best value for speakers there is in my opinion. They sound so crisp. Great response. Obviously Alpines, JL audio, and some others are better, but they are so expensive. They're about $50 for a pair at walmart, but it depends on your wattage. You need to match the wattage (PEAK) of your speakers to the wattage of each channel on your amp. You will have the perfect sound. 50 watts per channel is about average, but if you want loud, you'll have to spend some money.

I listen to metal and was thinking about replacing my stock speakers with aftermarket ones with a 4 way amp, and putting 4 6x9" full range speakers with another 4 way amp behind the back seat instead of subs. Im not really looking for a lot of bass, I just want my music to be louder and more full. And what is a good brand of speaker and amp. Any advice would be helpful.
Its for a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I have herd that the brand kicker was originaly and still is mainly designed for metal. or all music like it.
I personally have never herd someone blast some metal with kicker speakers. I've never even listened to kicker speakers before.
But yeah...supposably kicker was made for rockers.
so i would look into some kicker wether its subs or 6x9's and amps.

kicker sucks BIG TIME for any rap and stuff like that.

Okay so here's my choices, I can get full range speakers now and set it all up in my car and just stick with that MIGHT have to buy the front speakers first then the back or visa versa at a later time because of money issues OR I can get just a component speakers and then wait to buy the sub woofer later and MAYBE get the amp later... what do you think? Any ideas or anything like that? What would you rather have? I'm totally in the dark I'll be listening to mostly punk rock and alot of hip hop and a little rap so yea that's pretty much about what I'll be listening to so what do you guys think? Thanks so much.

You can get a pair of front and rear speakers 6"front or 6x9 in the back which provides enough mid bass for your taste, since most of the times you listen to punk music, you don't need a big sub, a 10" sub would be better to play rock, and also rap, hip, etc, since they are smaller , move faster than a 12" or a 15". plus require less power.

class D amplifiers are very efficient, however they lose sound quality because of this. Subs are good for those types of amps. Class A/B amplifiers are less efficient but keep a clean signal, which is a good choice for mids and highs.

I advise against using a class D amp for mids and highs.
