jbl car speakers

Hi. Just wondernig what people thought of JBL speakers? Probably those around $60 USD - i would get one 6x9 pair and a 5.25" pair for the front. Thanks, just wondering what peoples opinions are, and if they prefer any other brands, (or can suggest brands to stay away from). all opinions very much appreciated, and would you prefer pioneer for car audio over jbl?

I think JBL makes good quality speakers, but on in larger sizes like 8's 10's 12's 15's. For the 6x9's and lower I like Polk audio.

I recently bought this car and the bass is blown. I cant find how to remove my speakers anywhere online. I was wondering if my car has a subwoofer because i see some amps in the trunk. How do i get to this subwoofer and what size is it?

I have two 10' subs at my house and i was hoping i could just change the blown one out for the new one i have at my house.

I know for a fact it has a subwoofer now. Im just going to put an aftermarket system in. Probably replace the door speakers and the head unit. The Signature series def has a subwoofer but the standard town cars do not.

Dont know bout the 96 but my 95 definitely has a sub. if you look in your trunk you should see the 2 6x9's, what looks like two amps and a black plastic peice where the spare tire goes to. the amp on the left is actually an amp the one on the right is...

I currently have pioneer rear deck 6 1/2" speakrs that are 35 rms watts and 180 max, but I like this years JBL 6 1/2 speakers that are 60 watts rms and 180 watts max(model GTO627), which are better? I have them running on this years new pioneer 6000ub receiver that runs 22 watts rms, and 50 max per channel. What will sound better?

i would pick the JBLs but for a non-biased opinion just look up the model numbers and compare the specs
the higher the sensitivity the better (more sound with less watts) and the larger the frequency response (the wider range of tones)
the JBLs would require an amp for them to sound their best because your radio cannot properly power them, but the pioneers don't require that much RMS wattage so they would be a better match if you don't ever plan on adding an amplifier

right not im into sound clarity than to bass.. i think JBL speakers are the best for sound clarity which cost less than the other brands..

anyone who knows a brand better than JBL when it comes to sound clarity?

I think JBL's will do fine. But don't buy thier cheapest ones though. almost every manufacturer makes a wide range of quality speakers and electronics. I try to stick with thier mid range priced speakers for the best bang for the buck. Try to use seperate components if you can, it's nicer sounding. Good Luck!
