jl car speakers

I have $250.00 for 4 new speakers for my car. Is JL audio any good, or Arc audio? I've heard brands like pioneer and alpine are good too.

I'm looking for speakers that don't need an amp to sound good but I will eventually get an amp and subs... thanks

It kind of depends on the size of the speakers you need. However I have 4 Boston Acoustic S65's in my car and they sound GORGEOUS. Boston Acoustics wouldn't put their name on a crappy product EVER. When you're looking for subs look into their G5 line as well. I own 2 12s which again sound gorgeous. Said to be like the best SQ sub on the market (especially in its price range)

I'm with everybody else on this one. JL rocks hard core. I have 2 JLW3v3's running on a kicker 450.2

The 12" W3's are $250 each, but if price is an issue go for the W1's They are also incredible subs, great Spl and xmax.
You can pick up a 12" W1 for about $120-140, and trust me they will play harder and clearer than any clarion sub.

Trust us, save your money if you can't afford something good, its better to save up and get quality, than to cave in and buy something crappy and regret it.

My car is 2007 Toyota Rav4, I would like to replace the factory installed speakers, which don't sound good. I will install Polk Audio DB5251 for front speakers and JL VR525 CSI for rare speakers, the question is: Do I have to get another amplifier to power those new speakers? Or I may use factory installed audio receiver to power those new speakers? How will be different between those two options? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can just hook them up to the HU. Do you already have an amp in the vehicle, powering something else? Subs?

Ok I have been researching some subwoofers for my 1996 Lexus ES300. I think I'm going to go with two "JL 12W6v2".
What amp do I need to power these two subs?

Also I want to change out the factory car speakers with JL speakers.
Do I need anything extra to power the new speakers?

amp wise id go with the sundown saz 1500z it says its 800 at 2 ohm but its way underrated ive had a cea compliant amp thats was 1100 rms and the sundown did better at comp
as for the subs you are spending way to much by getting jl audio it is way over priced you could do so much better for the money and as for anything else for the factory speaks if you want it louder and to sound more clear you will need a good 4 channel amp id go with infinity or alpine for the 4 channel amp infinity makes great speakers to replace your factory speakers too

Depends on who you are asking Polk audio storm fosgate bose all are great . Do your research by someone who has a grat system before buying . Every person who sells systems will always tell you that theres is better. Get first hand advise look and listen to a friend who already has a good system before buying.They might be able to clue you in on something better they wise they had
