What kind of amplifier do i need to drive 2 subs and 2 mid range speakers?

I have 2 rockford P1S412 in a enclosed box
2" 4-ohm subwoofer
molded polypropylene woofer cone with poly-foam surround
power range: 50-150 watts RMS (300 watts peak power)
frequency response: 26-250 Hz
sensitivity: 86 dB
And 2 mid range speakers.
Should i just use 2 amplifiers? one for the subs and one for the mids?

it up to you if you just want one the jl audio 500/5 would my first choice
or you can use a jl audio 250/1 and a jl four channel go with a four channel if you chose seperate if you want to add more speakers later it gives you that option same goes for the five channel

i recomend jl audio because it is a quality product, but brand comes down to budget and what you feel comfortable with

How do i install mid range speakers?

I have two 12" subs in my car, i want to hear the singing more, ppl said i should get mid range speakers ("mids"). So i say cool, i have a couple speakers that i think are mids, they look like 6x9's, they are already in boxes. But i don't know how to install them? do they hook up directly to the cd player? Do they get hooked to the amplifier? can they be hooked to the amp? thanks

I had a 79 Rabbit with 6x9 speakers first thing I would do is take the speakers out of the box and read how many amps they can handle then, add the amp or go directly to the cd player. In my rabbit I went to the amp where I had 200 watts of power that was more then enough to light up those 6x9's.
The way I had my stereo wired was head unit to amps 200watt Jenson then a M-80 which is a 80 watt booster amp then from my amps to a set of 15's in a band pass box. The highs where splite at the M-80 to go to my 6x9's and 4x6's which where in the doors.

I need some Mid Range speakers?

I need some good mid range speakers to replace my factory speakers (which are Bose). Can anyone recommend some good mid range speakers that I can get that wont cost an arm and a leg? I was considering some 6.5 and 6x9 from Infinity.
i have replaced the factory deck with a Pioneer deh-p6900ub. I am now considering Infinity or Polk. Which is the best buy?

Infinity are good speakers, and most have a high sensitivity rating which means they will play well from a factory radio. If you look for other speakers, and are planning on running them from the factory radio, you need a high sensitivity rating, and don't go with the higher wattage speakers. 40 watts RMS is where you need to be. If you buy a speaker that is rated at 200w RMS, you will barely hear it, the factory radio, even with a factory amp is not strong enough to make these speakers move much.

What frequency responce is better for a mid-range speaker?

I'm in between 2 mid-range speakers, but the only thing they have different is their frequency responce. One has 150-7kHz and the other one has 55-4kHz. So how do i know wich on of these speaker is better by looking to their frequency responce. And is this that important when buying a speaker?????

How high you going to rub the subs? How low are the tweeters going to play? Are you going to have mid-bass drivers?

  • Speakers – How They Work and What They Do

After the response from the power capacitor article, there have been many requests for an article on speakers and which ones are the best to have as well as how to choose the speakers for your ideal car audio system. So if you want to know the basics behind creating a car audio system so great that it almost feels as if Linkin Park are rocking out in your back seats while Jay Z is sitting next to you telling you about his 99 problems, then you’ll want to give this a read… just my 2 cents…

    Speakers

Speakers (drivers) are a vital part of car audio systems. They take charge of reproducing the sound from electrical to audible. They work by vibrating the air around the speaker when an electrical current is passed through them. This is why it is important to choose the best speakers that your budget will allow. This will give you end impression that you would feel that you were in a live concert hall; with the artist next to you actually singing live!
