Best car gps under or around 250 dollars?

I'm looking for a decent car gps navigation system that's under or around $250.

It will be replacing my Magellan Roadmate 360, which has some serious issues. First, it doesn't have retail stores beyond restaurants and gas stations listed in the points of interest database. Second, it requires you to put in the township/district instead of the real city or town name when putting in an address, which is pretty impossible to determine beforehand.

So basically, I'm looking for something with a big points of interest database and easy address input.
It also must have a "most use of freeways" or something similar, because I've used GPS systems that take you on dumb local roads instead of interstates when you're going long distances.


Garmin I believe I got the C320. Its like 240. You can get at walmart it includes the mount and everything.

Is it illegal to install your navigator onto your car's windshield in California?

I have a navigator Guimin Nuvi 360, portable GPS for car driver. I live in San Jose, California, USA. In the manual, they said it is not OK to install this navigator onto the windshield of your car in California and Minesota. Do you know if there is any other way to affix it onto your car so that you can view during your driving. Is it really illegal to affix it onto the windshield in California? What happen if I keep having it on my windshield? Is there anybody having ticket because of that?


Anything blocking your windshield can be a citable offense. Having too much dirt or ice on a windshield in california is also citable.
Chances are you will not be herassed over it provided it is not a giant screen, however you can be dpending on how into the letter or the law the officer is.

How can I connect my Garmin GPS to my car stereo so it interrupts my music when it says a command?

No, but you can play MP3 files through the car stereo from the Garmin Nuvi if you use a cassette adapter.

Download your MP3 audio files to the Garmin and play them while you're driving. The Garmin will interrupt the music when it needs to state a command. Use a cassette adapter (they usually come with CD players) and hook it up through the headphone jack and to your cassette player so you can hear the Garmin through the car's stereo!

My family is privlaged enough to own a sweet ride. its a 2004 Lexus Rx 330. It has gps and a rear t.v own it. It works with my ps2 and i want to no if ii can or should be done


it should work but what i would do is upload the game to the hard drive so the disk does not spin so the disk does not get scrached up you know but yea should work
