blue car gps

Would blue tooth gps portable receiver when connected to the cigarette lighter use the car speakers to answer the blue tooth phone? If not what is the best way to do this

GPS is just that GPS (Global Positioning Satelite) nothing to do with answering phones.
check the local cellphone store they will have handsfree kits available.
Interfacing Cellphone into your car speakers might be a little expensive and not worth the trouble.
Cars that have that feauture have purpose built car player for that feature

I would have to win the lotto, but my "dream car" would be a 1-year-old (used) Crown Victoria Police Car. You can see them for sale on the internet under 'used police cars.' I would want it in glossy black, with black "stealth" PURSUIT reflective lettering on both sides, big lettering, door to floor size. I want the white strobes, lots of them. Navy blue cloth interior. 8 speakers and gps. 5 point seat belts, red! Dark window tinting. Custom license plate on the back NOTACOP. Oh to dream. I never understand why people always want the most expensive cars. They just say money, if you know what type of cars they are. Most people do not, drive up in a Bentley 4-door sedan and everyone is wondering "what is it?" and have NO clue as to the price. My car would be one-of-a-kind and a blast to drive. Never could afford to buy and custom-build one, family and bills. But it is nice to dream...

My dream car? I have no Idea, but if I had a car I liked it'd be a totally pimped Rolls Royce, Hey, even 13 yr olds can dream of some high class cars.

I already have a hands free kit in my car, I want this for the speaker for the gps (the speaker on the iphone is not that good) and the extra gps chip. My blue tooth car kit uses the car speakers for calls.
I read that you have to connect it to your phone through blue tooth. So do I have to use the hands free part of the kit for calls?
I did post it in the consumer electronics section. Sometimes I think Yahoo Answers has a mind of it's own.

I got a 2001 car with a pre wire for a cd changer in the trunk. Anyone know of any products out there that would be able to connect to a bluetooth stereo source and input it to the cd changer line?

Maybe I am missing something but this seems like and easy way to update and older car. You got the audio line ran nice and neat and power available right there in the trunk in plenty of range for a Bluetooth phone or GPS device.

It would not even need to control the Bluetooth source. Navigation and audio functions would be controlled by the source and volume by the car stereo.

Help I need one and am sick of messing with the fm tuner on my tomtom.
A clean installation is a priority. Want to do this with out dismantling any other products.

I made one out of a set of blue tooth stereo headphones...just take the headphone speakers off and attach rca's or hard wire to your audio component

I think you shoud use black on it, that color allways look good on cars but its kinda delicate.Definitely is the best color you can use on it, in my opinion.
