Hello there,
I have recently come to sell my PDA (Orange M600/HTC Prophet). I used to use it as a GPS in the car and as a phone until I got a new one about 8 months ago.
The problem is, the GPS device connects to the phone in an unusual way. I have the PDA car holder which acts as a charger and a bluetooth device. The GPS unit (UT-41), then plugs into the car holder via a port that looks like a modem cable. The PDA holder is then Bluetooth, which you would connect to the phone using the pairing facility just like using a bluetooth GPS receiver or headphone etc. But unfortunately, due to the length of time since last pairing I have just totally forgot the pairing code, and due to the PDA not being switched on for a while, it reset itself when I charged it back up. I can not find the code anywhere and have tried all usual codes that I can think of/ find on the internet. Is there anyway I can reset or somehow get the code back using a piece of software?
Thanks in advance!
The Password was already set when I purchased the device. The device has a built in password so I believe so I cant change it. I purchased the Device from a friend who used to work for a taxi company when they got new models in. The actual device has no name etc on it, so can not trace it back to the manufacturer. I have opened the case to see if any manufacturer is in there, but unfortunately it is just the electronics manufacturer. The only other thing I know is that the Bluetooth name is Mercury, any indication to a company? I'm not sure I have researched it but with no results.
Don't mean to sound offensive, but if you are going to respond and say it is 0000/1111/0011/000000 etc, then please don't. I have tried all the ones suggested on the internet, this pin needs to be some how reset, I don't know how this would work or cracked etc. Thank you for all responses. Anybody who is familiar with the Mercury Taxi device, then feel free to also comment.

Remember that the batteries alone COST me $15,000, without the rest of the car
That's a great little car. When deciding what to pay for an electric car, remember what you're saving on gasoline.
*
Gas costs most of us at least 10 cents per mile. If it tops $4 per gallon, which it could easily do, many of us will be paying 20 cents per mile in gasoline costs.
*
Contrast this to an electric vehicle. A typical EV gets 4 miles to the kilowatt-hour of electricity (the small flybo could do even better than this.) Off-peak electric rates, available from many utilities for overnight charging, costs about 3 to 10 cents per kilowatt-hour. That calculates out to just a penny or two per mile.
*
This means that an average driver could save hundreds of dollars per month in gasoline costs. Those hundreds of dollars can go towards a larger car payment on your electric car. Once the electric car is paid off, those savings go right into your pocket.
*
This is how an ordinary driver can afford an electric car that costs 30, 40 or even 50 thousand dollars. The gas savings go toward the car payment.

Can't you just re-pair them?

Gps Palm Pilot Software | Feel GPS
We have recently bought a 2008 Dodge Caravan SXT, without the Nav sysem. It does have satellite radio and TV, touch screen selection. We didn’t get the Navigation system, as I have a Tom Tom GPS for my Palm Pilot. I would like to know if I can install the software to the van’s system to use my Bluetooth GPS receiver, basically installing GPS on the system (via the USB port) with an aftermarket GPS receiver. If I can’t no big deal – we have no regrets for passing on the Nav system, and the current GPS that I have is rarely used. I know that the USB port is for music downloading onto the factory My Gig entertainmant system, and I don’t even know if the port would work to install a program from a thumb drive. I know that the factory My Gig entertainment system has a hard drive of a few gigs, but I don’t know if it could run a program. For the 1000 cost when we bought it, my Palm Tom Tom works fine – but if I have all of the needed stuff, I would like to set it up. Just curious..
