Whats the best bluetooth gps receiver on the market right now?
Q-Starz Travel Recorder XT

It may not matter that I own a Palm 680 device since the receiver should work with either windows or palm. I live just outside the city and spend a third of my time driving in the city. I'm looking for some performance testing to backup an answer.

What precisely, is a bluetooth GPS receiver?
Function/Power Switch

Or for that matter, a GPS receiver? Please be precise. I would like to use one with my Sony Ericsson K800i for sat nav, but I'm not sure if this is what I want.

I guess your phone has the software for GPS navigation. What it lacks is the hardware, or GPS receiver, to make it work. The GPS receiver detects signals from GPS satellites and transfers the information to the handset via Bluetooth, magically turning your phone into a SatNav system. I have a Nokia phone and bought a GPS receiver module for it just the other day and it seems to be working fine so far.

I travelled all round Australia recently and used my Nokia E90 and pre loaded Ovi Maps and found it to be really reliable and easy to use even if the OS made it occasionally more fiddly than it should have been - Big skies make for easy GPS reception!

This lifetime licence is exactly what Nokia should have done when it launched Ovi maps, their day/week/month/year licence set up was a complete rip off. But as I said the maps are good.

Shame I sold the Nokia 'Brick' and bought a Jesus Phone with CoPilot on it - which is rubbish as a turn by turn navigation aid since the GPS receiver is so piss poor and doesn't refresh for ages - it runs on a 30 second lag compared to where i actually am! And being an iPhone it also won't allow me to connect to my fantastic bluetooth GPS receiver that I used for all my Nokias...grrrrrr.
