car gps system

I'm planning on purchasing a gps in-car system. I would like a really good one, but I don't want to just throw ;my money away. Which system can I get the most bang for the buck?

TomTom One is a good one , they run about $250 now . Garmin , TomTom and Magellan are the the most well bought brands . I have the TomTom One and its very accurate and reliable. Get the base models in any particular brand , because added features you may never use drive up the price.

I want to Buy a GPS system and want to know that which is better GPS system and more accurate one. Is it better to buy a dedicated car GPS like DELPHI NAV 200 or a Nokia 6110. And also as both of them uses different map source DELHPHI uses mapmyindia and Nokia uses satnav so which is better source of maps in India?

This GPS will have to play mp3s. I want to replace my iPod for a gps system that does both because having a single GPS AND and iPod is too messy.

Video playback and SD card slot is a plus. Please tell me what is best/recommended and why for <$200 and for >$200. Thank you!

None under $200 are worth buying.

Over $200...buy the most expensive one you can afford.

I want to get a GPS system for my dad. he's getting old and his english is very limited so I want to look for something simple or maybe something that has a chinese language setting.

I personally like the garmin's. Just check the different models , many have the different language settings.

I recently bought a magellan maestro 3250. It works great and looks great. One problem.....This 'Maestro' doesn't hold contact information. unlike other gps systems, you can't have an address book where you can type in the phone number and the persons address. Basically, I am looking for a car gps system that has exactly everything that the maestro 325 has, plus the "address book" option. thanks alot!! please let me know whats out there

Well, HP/Compaq Ipaq units have GPS and PDAs built together. or you can add GPS to any of the PDA's.
