cobra car gps

Is this possible to get a good one for this price? I had thought of a Cobra or Magellan.

Your best bet would be to use a laptop (if you have one) and buy either Microsoft® Streets & Trips 2007 with GPS Locator (PC), Garmin® GPS 18 Sensor GPS Bundle, or Earthmate GPS LT-20 with Street Atlas 2005. These will run you between 100-150 depending on where you buy it. Now, if you don't have a laptop then for around 200 your pretty much stuck with a handhelp type gps system. Stick with Garmin or Magellan. You may be able to squeeze one of the lower end Plug-and-play type units from Garmin, Magellan, or Lowrance as well. Check Circuit City (store and online), Best Buy (store and online), Crutchfield.com and any other electronic stores. Hope this helps.

Garmin, Magellan, TomTom, Navman, Cobra, and Lowrance ? my family wants one gps devises which we all can use in times of need in our cars. Before I buy one i want to know which company is the best so I can do some more reseach.

before you buy, i would suggest looking into software that can be used with a laptop. The larger screen helps a lot.. Software cost is between 89 to 120 dollars and does the same thing that the others do..

I am making a road trip from texas to maryland. I dont want anything in the dash, so either a portable one from car to car or a handheld would work. I have been looking at the cobra nav 2500 but it had mixed reveiws. I would like to spend around $300 give or take. Any suggestions will help. You can ask questions and I will answer them by adding details.

Either Tom Tom or Garmin, in that order, whatever model fits your budget. Both will give you voice turn by turn, slick displays, and reroute you if you miss a turn or there is a detour.

my friend is gonna sell me his 1999 v6 mustang with a 2003 mustang cobra body kit..the motor is brand new with about 700 miles on it and cost him 5000 dollars get it proffesonally installed and rebuilt.the car also has a new paint job racing seats, svt cobra rims,touch screen head unit ,2 15" JL subwoofers, amp ,2 kicker speakers,new clutch and rebuilt transmition,cobra radar dectector and portable gps navagation system.its a manual transmition.what do you think? is it worth 6,000?

its a 1999 mustang with a brand new v6 motor with about 700 miles on it has new paint job ,racing seats,cobra body kit,svt cobra chrome rims,touch screen head unit,2 15" JL subwoofers,cobra radar detector,portable gps system,turbo gauges,manual transmition,z50 tires(wide tires),kicker speakers,new clutch and a exuast system.

The way to come up with an authentic value for this car or any vehicle for that matter is not only the features or xtras installed on to it. The value of anything is "whatever the market will bear" you already know this rule as you know with more competition in sales for the same item (or car) the lower it will sell for. With this in mind consider how easily will the seller be able to move this car at or close to the price they are asking for it. Uniqueness or its one-of-a-kind popularity will both make this a more desireable car to the one interested in it -thus raising its dollar value but fortunatly for you the buyer there is less competition with other buyers allowing you to dicker down the price. Another thing to remeber is all the value of the xtras this person bought retail and spent in labor to get the xtras installed is worth about half of the uninstalled expence if you would purchase the products retail and pay them to be installed into this car (body kit, subwoffers, turbo guages, gps, etc, etc...
Figure out how motivated this person wants to sell the vehicle, what are his/her motives (money, another purchase interest after this sale for him/herself, etc) now armed with this knowlege, NEVER verbaly degrade the vehicle in the owners presence intending to get him to lower the price, you will only harden his heart on the deal. If you see a scratch or dent or such you might allow him to see you slide your hand over it or pause and stare at it before continuing as you are "inspecting" the car--but dont say anything, he may, -just let it go--for now. The buyer will be reconsidering the asking price in his own head as all this goes on--an advantage for you later...
Rever to the vehicle as "this car", or "vehicle"...dont personalize it in discussion with the seller by calling it a 99 Mustang. Same way with the "speakers"---not "15" JL Subwoofers". Lastly, after all this give him a chance to lower the price himself, "Whats the best price you can do on this?" He will give you something a bit higher than what he thinks he can live with. Heres your pitch: "I know the car is worth that money, and I like the car, but this is what Ive got $_____. Pause, wait (but not too long-not quite long enough time for him to answer back), then.... "Youd be ok to sell the car today, wouldnt you?
Now you know the value of this car. :)
