its a garmen nuvi. nuvi 200w. all i have is the actual GPS ... what acssesorys do i need to buy for it to hook up in my car?

I am considering upgrading to a Garmen NUVI 260 model as it announces the street names and I feel this is a safety feature that will pay for itself. It cost $100 more than the TomTom XL model I currently have. Is the extra money worht it?

I have a Garmin GPS and they are the best. Mine is about 3 years old and I've been looking for a new on but can't find anything I like better. Works great and you can download custom points of interest ie. H-D dealers or Wal-Marts etc. and always have door to door directions. Also Garmin unlike TomTom if you buy one and the maps are not the most recent they will upgrade you to the latest maps for free. They did this for me and I was very please they sent me a DVD no shipping or anything just showed up and I activated it and went driving.

i just bought a Garmen nuvi 200 series gps and i plugged it into my car adapter and when i turned it on the screen was very vivid, i could barely read anything it was saying. the only depicable area was the sides, the middle was completely white, and the sides were 80% white... overall, the screen is not working. its a touch pad and i pressed the screen randomly and it made beeping noises, so the touch pad works. but the screen itself has very vivid display... if anyone who has this or knows about this kinda stuff could please post some helpful hints or something? thanks.

i own one also, but have not experienced these problems. mabe you have a defected unit. i would suggest returning it to the store you purchased it from and exchanging it for a new one. they are worth the trouble, because they work great when correctly operating. i love mine. wouldn't trade it for anything.

i know this sounds a litle far fetched...
my step father said in a argument to my mother that he is cheating on her... i would like to place a gps device on his truck to track where he is going... i have my mothers permission ... he bought the car after they were married... so i dont know where the law stands on placeing a tracking device on the car witout both parties knowing about the device.... any help... its a garmen gps from marbrow....and i want to attack it with some magnets to the inside of the truck bed... or the bumper..... any help or advice besides going to a PI
