garmin gps 5

So everyone on here convienced me to get a Garmin GPS System for my out of state trip and I found one at Best Buy on Sale. Its called Nuvi 200 3.5 Touch Screen.

Any opinions or experience witht this??

I have used this, its is better than entry level alternatives however. I find the GPS system such as this great for the highway. I live in a City that is always growing and everyone I know has a new house somewhere in a sub division. Inter City I prefer TeleNav. The major diffrence is going to be TeleNav system's are always updated to include new roads. I think the new map packs are like $50 for your Garmin. With that in mind depending on how rural your going if you go Garmin you may want to consider the 250W for better map coverage. I truely am a believer in TeleNav, its available with a lot of cell phones already out on the market.

Just picked up a Garmin GPS 72, wanted to compare it with my GPS 5. Turns out they are equally precise, but I#39;m not certain about the accuracy.

Is this a good GPS?

I don't want to spend any over $230.

Are there any other deals out there?

yes the Garmin is new.

I might get a Magellan for cheaper though.

What's the catch? At Wal-Mart, the nuvi 350 was priced at $325 and that had just been marked down from almost $400. If I could have gotten a 360 for $229, I'd have jumped on it (I paid $198 for a 200). But only if it were new and still in the box with all accessories.

i deliver pizzas at night and i have a garmin gps from 5 months ago. Yesterday in the main menu where it says "where to" and then "map" i clicked where to, click address, hit our state kansas and then click spell city it either freezes up or completly shuts down. Also when i try to click settings and go into other menus it just shuts off.

Why and How is this happening? has anybody had any problems like this before? please help! thanks!

My nuvi 300 does that when battery is low!!

well that is weird that it shuts off. It is almost like it has a virus on it. it is also weird that i live in kansas too. haha

I've looked on Best Buy and Garmin's website and they just say 12v power cord. I need too know how long. I need it about 5+ feet so I can place the GPS where I like it.
