garmin gps map

i need help cuz my dad need to know which is better ?

Hi: Garmin by a long shot.
Better quality, upgrades available regularly and outstanding customer support and more user friendly.
I have nothing but Garmin in my car and plane.
I have owned both but i prefer the garmin.

I recently bought a boat with a Garmin GPS unit installed. I looked it up, and it is a $900 unit, but the tracking and detail are terrible.
I boat near LaCrosse WI, and according to the GPS unit, half the time I am on dry land. Garmin says they do not have any software that is any better. Has any one purchased a add on map that works on the upper Mississippi river ?

I will be climbing Kilimanjaro soon. I have all my gear, but I need a map for my garmin unit. Has anyone come across a Kilimanjaro climb Garmin GPS Map?

Bought this used off ebay...has already been used w/ one unit. Code that came w/ it does not work (one use per). Was told there was an unlock code to allow it to work with multiple units (multiple updates). Is there such a code?

The vendor that sells the update will provide the unlock. Without knowing which product (GPS, City Nav vs. City NT, Topo, which country, etc.) it's impossible to give part numbers, but Amazon often has better prices than Garmin's own site.

I have a Garmin handhelp and a Nuvi. I hear that the mapsource map does not contain that many roads. Where can I download a good Costa Rica GArmin GPS Map?

Here is a very good Costa Rica Garmin GPS map. I used it in my handheld garmin unit and Nuvi.

They also gave me some travel advise!
