The unit may not stop working but you battery capacity will be all screwed up or messed up.

Its small enough to carry it with you in the bag or suitcase. So that way you can keep it at good shape and avoid getting your car broken in (yes, my friend got his car broken in b/c someone saw the gps unit in his car)

Garmin Nuvi 350 gps?

Ok here it goes. My dad found a Garmin Nuvi 350 when he was at work the other day (not stolen). I bought a charger for it and plugged it into my car, It goes through its opening screens then says its loading maps an then comes up to a cartoon like screen showing a gps pluged into what looks like a computer. Any one know what is wrong with it?


It sounds as though you have plugged it into the usb port on the side of the unit. This port is there to allow you to send updates to the unit, and to charge it. If it detects that there is connection on this port, it sets itself to this mode, and will not function for navigation. If you want to use it powered in a vehicle, there is an adaptor that plugs into the back of the unit. It is sold as part of either the vehicle mount, or the suction cup mount. If you remove the plug from the side of the unit, assuming it has not been locked, then it should function as normal.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS and now it won't power up, what is wrong?

I've tried using the on/off button, and plugging it into my car and the ac outlet. I was using it yesterday. The battery could be bad but would a dead battery not allow it to start when it's plugged in? help!


This is a tough one and really depends, how old is the unit? Have you tried pressing the reset behind the antenna small pinhole type button. Does the unit say recharging when plugged in? Have you checked Garmin's website under support and searched for the same type problem? Garmin provides 1 year warranty on their products , even if it is beyond that I would try calling them , they have always helped us in the past. First try and use the reset button.

Garmin Nuvi 350 charger?

Does anyone know what phone charger will work with this gps unit? I have a sidekick lx car charger and im hoping it will work for this used garmin nuvi 350 gps system that i purchased used off of ebay that didnt come with a charger. Anyone account for this?

How can I listen to my garmin nuvi 350's mp3 player in my car's stereo?

How does it work? I've a CD/FM radio in my car and want to listen to the music via my GPS. Is there any extra cable I need to buy and hook up or what?

It's not wireless so there's no interference. Not to be confused with an FM transmitter. Basically it adds an AUX input to ANY radio. No searching for a clean channel.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch.
