gps canada

Hi,i jsut got my nuvi 350 gps and i cant figure out how to set the map to canada,in the begining i chose canada but the when i touch the view map button,it gives me Garmin Internationnal US,so the location is in the Garmin compagny in the US,so how do i lead it to QC canada i tried EVERYTHING!!!

You do have maps of North America already preloaded on the Nuvi 350...so you actually need to select "where to" change/select country and then city and enter the address.
Or if you continue to have problem Garmin Tech Support can probably explain better...they can be reached at 1-800-800-1020. I am confident you will get it all taken care of..soon.

After over two months of anticipation, the TomTom turn-by-turn GPS app for the iPhone 3G and 3GS is finally here. I took it for a spin and here ...

I'm not looking for fancy stuff like bluetooth or mp3 etc. I just want the most functional route planning GPS with the best maps of Canada. I would like it to be Mac compatible, offer re-routing and multiple destination planning, be able to save routes, spoken street names, and no extra stuff to buy (ie: traffic unit). Any advice would be welcome - thanks!

I have a Garmin nuvi 200 (I think it's one of the most basic models from Garmin). You can use maps from anywhere in the world - I'm not sure if you download them or what.

This model is really user friendly. It tells you when to turn, but does not say street names (the street names are written - it'll show "Turn right on Pine Street" at the top of the screen, and say aloud "Turn right in point three miles"). It does re-routing and multiple destinations. You can even add a stop along the way.

we often travel to canada, and i might reconsider this gps.

Garmin nuvi 200 gps no have preloaded maps for the canada.

I'd recommend a Garmin nüvi 250, nüvi 250W, nüvi 260, nüvi 270 have preloaded maps for the canada.

I'm looking for a GPS system for my car which i can easily switch between cars and has all the destinations in canada and major POIs in the USA but is affordable

If you're looking to portability, you probably want to go handheld, which can be used anywhere and in any vehicle. As to what is best, that's open to conjecture. But the web page below rates some of the hand held unit. Have a look.
