gps car accessories

We have cases, guards, and other stuff but the GPS already comes with the car charger/wall charger/ windshield mount, and maps. So its hard to sell accessories with them, but our store is starting to push it and I really want to try, any suggestions? (its so hard to sell cases that are 19.99!, so expensive)

The cases are seriously important. Go on amazon.com and do a search, research buyers reviews of those products and see why people say those accessories help them. I have 2 GPS units, and I bought a case because it helps me put everything related to my GPS in one bag. When I travel, or take the unit from one car to another, I have a bag to put it in. It helps to keep the unit safe (they are cushioned) and helps keep track of the cord. It makes sure the unit won't get crushed or crack/scratch the screen when thrown in another bag. Also, sometimes the ends of those cords are fragile (I've torn 2 of them) so you want to pack it away with the unit in the case. People break into cars and steal GPS units. If your car is in a parking lot, its best to take it out and put it in a case and take it with you.

Personally, I've got my Garmin Nuvi (navigation unit), FM Transmitter (for my iPod Touch), and a power inverter (for everything else).

On Sunday, my car was Vandalized in Baltimore. A thief broke my window on the right passenger side and took a duffel bag with these items:

Duffel bag (Rare) $25
T-shirt (Rare) $25

Knitcap (Rare) $25
Knitcap $15
Short $15
Pant $15
GPS Suction Mount $20
GPS car charger $30
(He did not get the GPS, I had it with me)

Who knows what else he took? I have a lot of small items in my car, really not worth that much to notice right away, he might took too, but I certainly wouldn't want it stolen because they are rare, and hard to find these days.

This Asshole is probably just going to throw half of them away, because I don't think he is interested in half of the genres my T-shirts, etc are. He probably never even looked what's in the duffle bag, he just took it.

So I am looking at close to $400 Stolen, from T-shirts, Pants, Knitcaps, Portable CD player, Binoculars, Digital Recorder, GPS accessories, etc. Plus the broken passenger window which might be $400-ish? No, I don't have but Basic liability insurance for my car, so NO insurance for Vandalism. So, total about $800 maybe I lost?

And I am heartbroken since a lot of these things are RARE and HARD to find these days, and I worked hard to get them I want some payback!

However, what I am finding out these days the sad fact that many people say I am probably out of luck, I won't get a penny back! :(

Maybe that's the reality, but that sucks so much!

Good news is, The car is Vandalized in a parking gargage. A couple Security guards actuallly witnessed the suspect. They told me they have no power to arrest him, but called police and give the police suspect's description. Also video camera may have caught him, too. So hopefully, this scum is caught eventually, and if I can not get my stuff back, I want to press charges and get money payback.

But, the fact I live 3 hours away from this incident, makes it hard for me to go back and forth for this charge/trial.

Tell me, what is my most likely going to happen to me? If he is caught, what chances I have getting my stuff back or get money from him, at all?
The thief probably trying to see if he can steal the GPS, the Duffle bag probably wasn't what he went after, but he probably thought the GPS might be in the bag. Everything was IN the bag, not outside exposed.

YOU do not press charges. YOU can file a report, and give the police all information. They use your information to determine if they have enough evidence to arrest him and give it to the DA to charge him.
The sooner you report it, the sooner that they can investigate, and POSSIBLY regain your things.
Even if caught and found guilty, that does not guarantee he will have money to repay you.

Simple answer the One XL 130 didn't come with the FM transmitter have a look at the TomTom GO series, Other than that theres some usefull avice from BarryTheblade that would be a good alterative............René

It's a little device, no screen like the GPS devices I've seen before. So is it a GPS accessory?

If it's it's own device, how do I use it?
Well it lights up when I charge it, so apparently it works.

It was in the trash outside of a repossessed house I was cleaning up for the bank.

You'd be surprised what people throw away.
I've found wallets with money in them, cell phones, a laptop that just needed a battery cover, clothes, furniture, TVs, DVDs/players, 2 playstations... loads and loads of good stuff.
One person's trash is another's treasure, haven't you ever heard that?

why would it even work if you found it in the trash.
