I'm not sure of your question, but if it uses the power from the vehicle, no reason why not as nearly all cars use 12 volt batteries. But you may not have maps in the unit for Australia. You may be able to get map updates for that country.
Needed a cup-holder car mount for my Garmin GPS. So I made one!

i have a 1999 ml 320 and someone broke into the car and stole the gps and now i have a weird looking holder right above the middle ac vents how do you either remove the holder or the ac vent so i can take the holder off
You are talking about a portable GPS, not the factory installed one, right?
Who knows how that holder was fixed to the dash? Anyway, if you want to remove the vent, just pull on it carefully. It has a notch on each side of it and those notches snap to small pins in the opening.
If you pull the plastic vent grill, it will pop out. Be careful not to crack it .

Which car should I get?
We need a 7-passenger crossover SUV, with leather seats, optional GPS, stereo, cup holders, iPod pluggin, DVD player.. okay gass mileage, price, etc..(prefferably under 30,000, but open to options.)
And if you have any links, that would be great.
(I was thinking about the Dodge Journey or Ford Flex...)
ford flex but i personally like the range rover.
Hello there,
I have recently come to sell my PDA (Orange M600/HTC Prophet). I used to use it as a GPS in the car and as a phone until I got a new one about 8 months ago.
The problem is, the GPS device connects to the phone in an unusual way. I have the PDA car holder which acts as a charger and a bluetooth device. The GPS unit (UT-41), then plugs into the car holder via a port that looks like a modem cable. The PDA holder is then Bluetooth, which you would connect to the phone using the pairing facility just like using a bluetooth GPS receiver or headphone etc. But unfortunately, due to the length of time since last pairing I have just totally forgot the pairing code, and due to the PDA not being switched on for a while, it reset itself when I charged it back up. I can not find the code anywhere and have tried all usual codes that I can think of/ find on the internet. Is there anyway I can reset or somehow get the code back using a piece of software?
Thanks in advance!
The Password was already set when I purchased the device. The device has a built in password so I believe so I cant change it. I purchased the Device from a friend who used to work for a taxi company when they got new models in. The actual device has no name etc on it, so can not trace it back to the manufacturer. I have opened the case to see if any manufacturer is in there, but unfortunately it is just the electronics manufacturer. The only other thing I know is that the Bluetooth name is Mercury, any indication to a company? I'm not sure I have researched it but with no results.
Don't mean to sound offensive, but if you are going to respond and say it is 0000/1111/0011/000000 etc, then please don't. I have tried all the ones suggested on the internet, this pin needs to be some how reset, I don't know how this would work or cracked etc. Thank you for all responses. Anybody who is familiar with the Mercury Taxi device, then feel free to also comment.
