gps car nav system

I want to Buy a GPS system and want to know that which is better GPS system and more accurate one. Is it better to buy a dedicated car GPS like DELPHI NAV 200 or a Nokia 6110. And also as both of them uses different map source DELHPHI uses mapmyindia and Nokia uses satnav so which is better source of maps in India?

so i am in the market for a mobile gps for my car. i want one with the fewest wrong directions as well as the ability to search for specific things like "Applebees" or "McDonalds" while on the road, not just broad categories. Any suggestions?

Garmin nuvi 260 is a good one GPS.

A Garmin Nuvi 265WT won't do it. If fact Garmin told me that NONE of there systems will. What I mean is that in order to see the POI "icons" on the map (like the little gas pump for gas stations), you must tap the screen and go to 300ft, but then the screen's map is "Frozen" and your car icon will drive right off the screen, and the screen will stay there until you hit the back button, which returns it to No Icons (other than the ones in your favorites). I Want to see all the icons on a moving map. I have experience with factory NAV systems (such as Audi A8) and these systems do this. You can choose the type of POI's you do and don't want to see and they will be all over the map as you drive. All the Gas stations, Restaurants, ATM's, Library's, Museums, etc. Does Tomtom or Magellan or any others allow this?? Thanks, Landon

My Magellan shows quite a lot. You just have to tell the menu what you want it to show, like gas stations, parks, camping etc.

For example, my audi has an integrated brain were you can change all the setting to the car including audio, ipod control and the navigation system. Does the nav system in the nissan 350 similar to this or is it just for view and manipulating the gps and nav.

MR Bulkin your cars owners manual is calling you! And there is a seperate Navagation Booklet. Please spend a few hours reading those booklets. Display Options Settings there is a lot of things drivers information and format things you can change and how the information is displayed.
