Someone offered me 2,000 Pesos for a GPS map (major cities in the Philippines covered). Is it worth it or too expensive? It can only be uploaded to mobile phones.

No one else can answer that question for you.

Will it work on your phone? No means it isn't worth it.
Most new phones only have GPS for the phone company to locate the phone, not for running maps.

How good is the map? You have to decide if it covers the areas you need and if the quality is up to what you need.

I just got my first gps, magellan 400 with the national geographic cd. I like the gps but the software sucks. looking to find a free or reasonable priced detailed map for colorado.

haha..you should have gotten a MIO. i got mine on sale for 160.00 and the maps are already there. i took it out of the box, and turned it on and i was ready to go. no downloads nothing.

GPS systems use different map providers, and I would like to get my place of employment listed with each of them. We have many people that have a hard time locating us, and It would certainly help business. Unless there is a database to register at so they can check and see people that would like to be listed on GPS maps, that information would also be useful. Thanks!!

It is quite easy to publish your business details in GPS POI Directory. I believe that you need something like this: http://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/country /

Follow these simple steps:

2. Create POI file with your business locations here: http://tomtom.gps-data-team.com/poi/poi_ edit.php

3. Submit your file with POI locations here: http://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/publish .php

You will be able to see how many people downloaded your POI locations. I did not find any easier way to create and publish my POI files.
