I would like to know if there is a way to get free GPS maps for Samsung i780. If so please tell me how!

If you install Google maps(with the "My Location" feature), you can get real time maps with your location accurate up to 20 feet.

I am looking to buy a Garmin GPS system. I heard a rumor that if you buy a new Garmin system (Nuvi series) that does not have the most updated maps preinstalled that you can get updates for free. Is this true? I can't find anything on the Garmin website without having a serial number first.

New Garmin GPS that you puchase today should come with 2008 maps. If they don't, you get a free update to 2008. This applies to units from July 2007 and later (?) but I am not sure of the cut-off date. If you buy now, you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Is it possible? Does the phone come with preinstalled maps you can look at for free? How much does TeleNav cost?

Nothing in life is free. The maps program that comes with a BB is free as is Google Maps. However, you have to have a data plan to load the actual maps. Also, most service providers (like AT&T, T-Mobile) charge an additional fee for GPS service.

Is there anywhere to download handheld gps maps for free ?

I ended up with the Garmin Map 60cs as I found if for some reason you had dropped that very small chip in the woods you would never find it again. I have found out that garmin is very good with there unlock codes and I have not yet been able to find them yet. But for Blue Chart I was able to split the cost with a friend as Garmin allows you to use it with two serial #s to unlock it to both units. I love the map 60cs as I found it to be one of the best handhelds on the market.

Is there any mobile software out there for use with the N95's GPS receiver that comes with, or downloadable maps for free?

If not is there anywhere that I can get Nokia N95 GPS maps for use with the Maps application?
