In other words, are there any GPS Navigation systems that don't just use the pre-entered maps? How does that work?

Same for my Garmin. Plug it in and download.

i love to travel i always go somewhere and i'm not too good with directions and i'm getting a new honda accord soon should i get the navigation package honda? is the navigation any good because i heard the 2007 honda navigation is unreliable? is it true? because i don't want to waste my money on something that won't help me with directions.

I have a GPS unit in my vehicle and I find it very useful when traveling in unknown areas (big cities, towns other than my own, etc.). BUT I bought my car used and the seller was extremely motivated to sell, so I didn't pay a premium to get it.

Accuracy is pretty decent, but is dependent on the maps loaded into the system. My area has some new roads that are not in the system and sometimes it looks like I'm driving through open fields. If you use the GPS unit to GUIDE you vs telling you EXACTLY where to go you'll be fine.

I don't know if I'd pay to have it added to a new vehicle, but I'd be willing to pay $300-$500 for an aftermarket GPS unit. GPS navigation is nice, but not $1200-$1500 nice, if you get my meaning. An advantage of a portable unit is that you could transfer it to whatever vehicle you travel in.
